Players profile - by A.Millerick
Here is a presentation of the squad, done by our correspondent, in live from Göteborg - Sweden
Managers :
JIMMY WALSH – When not swimming across oceans, big Jim is often found on the touchline at Celtic matches shouting instructions and encouraging. A real club man, Jim is a respected member of the GC franchise. Last year Jim coached the Korp side well, and at one point seemed to take the Monday team to the verge of the title, before a disappointing end of season run saw the Celtic tail off. Jim’s another man who gives up his time to support the GC cause, and for that everyone at the club is grateful.
SEAN GARRETT – The Gaffer. Sean has become a GC legend over the last few years and is now talked about in the same way as Sir Alex Ferguson is at United. Rumours of a statue on Avenyn proved a bit premature, but Garrett is loved by his players. Although Garrett isn’t a shouter, he still gets his message across to his players in a firm and fair way. His dedication to the team is appreciated by everyone involved, apart from maybe his wife. Despite his status at the club, Sean was under pressure following some poor results last season, but responded by guiding the team to some good mid-season form. His position was never really in doubt though, as let’s be honest, nobody in their right mind would want to manage this bunch of losers.
